I spent 2007-08 teaching animation in the Communication Department at UNC-CH. I found that I was constantly pushing my students to think outside of the box. I wanted them to combine film and animation of all kinds.

I started to look at myself as if I was sitting in my own class, and I realized that I was only working in one genre. This was made in response to my own stagnation and narrow portfolio of animation.
